Best time to visit: December

What to do and what to see:

Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills, that’s where I want to be! This three-block stretch of high-rolling fashion is located on the west side of metropolitan Los Angeles, running north and south between Wilshire Boulevard and Santa Monica Boulevard. A shopping haven to the rich and famous, visitors are greeted with over 100 elegantly styled boutiques, hotels and restaurants, including the world’s single most expensive store, Bijan. Other businesses catering to wealthy shoppers on this street are Cartier, Tiffany’s, Armani, Gucci, Hermes, Yves Saint Laurent, and many others. Travelers will find this street especially beautiful during the December holiday shopping season when the area is decorated with beautiful lights and displays, and Fathers Day marks an annual vintage car show that is free and open to the public. Most shops are closed on Sundays, so visit on a Saturday or during the week to browse, window-shop, and snap pictures of the celebrities that frequent the haute couture market of Rodeo Drive.
