Popular tourist destination

Location: Los Angeles, United States, North America

Best time to visit: year round

What to do and what to see:

The Bradbury Building at 3rd and Broadway in downtown Los Angeles is a popular tourist destination, and for good reason. The gorgeous five-story interior of the building features a soaring naturally-illuminated center court, and the indoor boasts cage elevators surrounded by decorative wrought iron. The ornately designed textiles used in the construction include glazed brick, marble, highly polished wood and ornamental cast iron, and the staircases on each end feature artistic geometric patterns. Built in 1893, this architectural example of the Italian-Renaissance-style is open daily, and tourists can expect to be permitted access up to the first landing only. Designated in 1977 as a National Historic Landmark, this testament to bygone days is located close to Biddy Mason Park, The Million Dollar Theater, the Grand Central Market, and Angels Flight. Be sure to bring your camera along to capture a bit of California history at the Bradbury Building.
